We are grateful to the Shepherd Group for its donation of £250 towards our fund raising to pay for the renovation of the safety surface under our children's outdoor play equipment. A total of £11,300 is needed to enable the work to go ahead.

Smiles&Miles will be running fun summer learning sessions at the Regen centre in Riccall from Monday 13th August to Thursday 16th. These will be two one hour sessions each morning. Session 1- 9.15am-10.15am maths for 7-9 year olds. Session 2- 10.45- 11.45am Reading, spelling and writing for 7-9 year olds. There will be a 30 minute home visit before these sessions commence so that the planning for each session is tailored to individual needs. If your child is Year 2 going into year 3 in September or currently year 3 but needing some extra help then this will be suitable for them. The Regen Centre has always been a disability friendly building, but we are always striving to offer more facilities for the less able. We are pleased to announce, therefore, that we have installed new, automatic, sliding doors at our main entrance. These should be a real boon to all our users, but especially those who found the previous doors not too easy. The doors have cost some £17,000, and we are grateful to a number of grant funders who have helped us pay for them.

We are pleased to have received a grant of £2,500 from the Screwfix Foundation towards our Changing Places and automatic front doors project. We have now raised, or had committed, some £32,000 towards the project, which we hope to start next month and complete in the summer.

We are pleased to have received a grant of £2,000 from the Gannett Foundation towards our Changing Places project, to provide changing facilities for less able older children and adults. The York Press is part of the Gannett organisation.

We are extremely pleased to have received a grant of £10,000 from the Morrison's Foundation towards our Changing Places project, which will provide special changing facilities for older children and adults with disabilities, as well as easier access to the building for all users, but particularly the less able.

Moosical Fun for your Little One - Every Wednesday (10.30 to 13.30) at the Regen Centre Moo Music is a great fun and interactive regular music session for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance, play, learn and have fun while doing it. Music is an essential part of every child’s development and the 100+ original Moo Music songs used at the sessions are positive, uplifting, fun and educational. The interactive sessions will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way.
