Awards, Grants, Donations

On this page we post information about the various awards, grants, donations and accreditations we have earned as an organisation. Also we’ll tell you about the partners and associates that we work with on a regular basis.

In the past few years we have been grant aided by North Yorkshire Police (twice), Yorventure, the Selby Eastern Area (CEF) Community Engagement Forum (twice), Linden Homes (four times) and Yorkshire Bank.  We have also worked closely with Key Fund Yorkshire and received several donations from the Shepherd Group and the Drax Group and regular donations from many of our users through our in-centre collection boxes, LocalGiving and easyfundraising.  We are also grateful to Selby DC for full statutory and discretionary rate relief.

In the past 3 years we have received grants of £3,572 from the Big Lottery Awards For All Fund towards the purchase of a portable PA system and a portable audio system to assist people with a hearing disability, £10,000 from the People's Postcode Trust to help refurbish our outdoor play surfaces, £640 from Superfast North Yorkshire towards IT equipment and donations of £624.31 from the York Guild of Building for outdoor benches. Recently we have received a donation of £250 from Drax Power, a grant of £500 from the Norman Collinson Foundation and a grant of £3,250 from the Headley Foundation towards our current fund raising for changing facilities for adults and older children with disabilities.

In October 2015, for the fourth time in fifteen years, Riccall Regen 2000 Ltd was awarded a Duke of York’s Community Initiative Award. Presented annually to organisations who are seen to be making a very real difference to the communities they serve, the award, which lasts for five years, was presented to our Centre Manager, Justine Hodgson, by HRH The Duke of York at a ceremony at Huddersfield University in May 2016.  In October 2016 the Regen Centre hosted the award winners' conference and received glowing praise for our facilities and food!  We are expecting to host the 2017 conference this autumn.
